Low Flow Groundwater Monitoring
Low flow groundwater sampling reduces the amount of water extracted / purged before sample collection from a monitoring well. Furthermore, this method simulates the ambient flow by extracting water at a rate slower than 500 mL/min. The QNOPY Platform follows the EPA method for low stress groundwater sampling procedure (click here to download the EPA method documentation PDF).
Switch from manual to digital with QNOPY, and streamline the process of monitoring wells and checking water levels. QNOPY was designed for environmental professionals by environmental professionals and has served clients in the environmental industry for a decade. Indeed, groundwater monitoring is our bread and butter: we offer the most comprehensive digitization software available.
Overall, the QNOPY Mobile App allows users to conduct well water level checks, monitor flow meters, and identify hazardous waste without the need for paper reports. Ditch messy paper logs and optimize your field operations for a more efficient future.
Custom Groundwater Monitoring Reports
At QNOPY, we offer both ready-to-go standard forms as well as customized solutions for groundwater monitoring. When customizing forms, you provide us with the exact parameters you'd like us to follow for unique operations.
Compliance and Data Accuracy
With QNOPY, businesses can ensure compliance with state regulations on groundwater monitoring systems. Additionally, the app’s customizable features make it suitable for any job site, providing a practical approach to groundwater detection and hazardous waste monitoring.
On top of simplifying data collection, the QNOPY Platform also offers electronic storage of sampling results and quality inspections. These features make it easier to maintain records for compliance monitoring programs and enable the timely detection of issues, such as the presence of harmful organic compounds in drinking water or malfunctioning flow meters.
Whatever you require for your groundwater operations, you can count on QNOPY to build a fail-proof solution to transform your field work. Learn more about our groundwater monitoring app features.
A Groundwater Sampling Form in Five Sections
The flow of the application specifically follows the field workflow:
Well Integrity Check
When you first arrive at the well, record any issues with the wellhead, required repairs, missing bolts, or water in the well vault, etc.
Well Gauging
After opening the well, record the depth to water, total depth of the well, and product thickness in the gauging section.
Wellhead Set Up
Note the type of pump used, casing material, depth of the pump inlet, and type of water quality meter as you set up to start pumping.
Stabilization Parameters
As you record the parameters, the app calculates the differences between readings to determine stabilization. The default stabilization criteria used by QNOPY are: pH (+/- 0.1 units), conductivity (+/- 0.3%), turbidity (+/- 10% NTUs when >10 NTU), DO (+/- 0.3 units), temperature (+/- 2 degrees), and ORP (+/- 10 units).
Sample Information
Once the well stabilizes, record sample information like ID, duplicate name, sample date and time, and analysis. The sample name can be automated to follow certain formats such as: well name – quarter – year.
